The MECO Non-Contact Voltage Detector (NCVD-1000S) is a small pen-shaped electrical safety tester used to check whether AC voltage is present in a wire or electrical component without touching the conductor with a metal probe.
How it works
The detector senses the electric field produced by an AC voltage source.
For example:
Live wire → electrical field → NCVD-1000S senses it → RED LED + buzzer
You simply bring the sensing tip close to the insulated wire, terminal, socket, or cable. If sufficient AC voltage is detected, the instrument gives a bright red LED indication and audible buzzer.
