A MECO Inverter Analyzer is a diagnostic electrical testing instrument used by technicians to check the output and operation of inverter-type systems, especially inverter Air Conditioners and Refrigerators.

What does it do?

In a conventional AC, the compressor generally receives a fixed-frequency supply. In an inverter AC, the PCB/inverter drive converts the incoming AC into a variable-frequency, variable-voltage output to control the compressor speed.

The MECO Inverter Analyzer is connected to the inverter output and helps the technician determine whether the inverter is producing the expected three-phase output.

In simple terms:

AC mains → AC PCB/Inverter → 3-phase output → Compressor

The analyzer is placed around the inverter-to-compressor output to help diagnose problems.

What can it help identify?

It can help a technician distinguish between problems such as:

  • Inverter/PCB fault
  • Compressor fault
  • Missing or abnormal phase output
  • Incorrect inverter output condition

This can be particularly useful when an inverter AC is showing a compressor or inverter-related error code.

Why is it useful?

Without an analyzer, a technician may have to make measurements with a multimeter or oscilloscope and interpret the inverter's variable-frequency output. The MECO analyzer provides a quick visual indication, making basic field diagnosis easier.
